Terms of Use
Last updated: 28 October 2026
UPSC2IAS (upsc2ias.com) is a place to practise mains answer writing: you write answers on paper, upload them, evaluate each other's answers, and study previous-year questions, syllabi and official updates for UPSC and state public service commission exams.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and us. They apply when you visit upsc2ias.com, create an account or use any part of the service, including study groups and anything we add later. By using the site you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Some features may come with extra rules, for example the settings a group admin chooses. Those rules add to these terms and do not replace them.
2. Who can use UPSC2IAS
- You must be 18 or older to create an account.
- You must be able to enter a binding agreement under Indian law, and not be barred from using the site by us or by law.
- If you use the site for an institute or another organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
3. Your account
- Give a real email address and accurate details. Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done from your account.
- One person, one account. Do not sign up for someone else, share an account or pretend to be another person.
- Your username, name, profile picture, followed exams and public activity are visible to others. Choose a username that does not mislead or offend.
- If you think someone else is using your account, change your password and tell us at once (see Contact below).
4. What you upload and who sees it
Answers, questions, evaluations, comments and anything else you post (“your content”) stay yours. To run the site, you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, copy, process and show your content for as long as it is on the site. This covers:
- your answer, shown to the aspirants who evaluate it and to anyone you share its link with;
- your evaluations, shown to the writer of the answer and to anyone who can see that answer;
- your public questions and test series, shown to everyone, and private ones only to the people you choose;
- content inside a study group, shown to the group as its settings allow;
- technical steps such as compressing your photos into a PDF, making previews and keeping backups.
The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other users already made under these terms (for example, an evaluation already written on your answer) and backups that expire on their normal schedule.
You also promise:
- Upload only your own work, or work you have the right to share.
- Do not upload someone else's answer, a topper's copy, paid coaching material, test-series papers or newspaper pages you have no right to share.
- Do not put personal details (phone numbers, roll numbers, addresses) on an answer sheet you upload.
5. Peer evaluations and ratings
Evaluations on UPSC2IAS are given by other aspirants and, in groups, by group admins. They are honest opinions to help you practise. They are not official marks and do not predict how any commission will mark you. We do not check every evaluation, and we do not promise that every answer gets evaluated, or by a particular time.
When you evaluate:
- Read the whole answer and mark it on its merit, with feedback the writer can act on.
- Keep remarks about the answer, never about the person.
- Do not download, copy, share or reuse an answer you were given to evaluate.
- Do not trade high marks or ratings, or rate unfairly to hurt someone.
Writers rate their evaluators. We may hide ratings or evaluations that look like abuse or manipulation, and limit the accounts behind them.
6. Study groups
- Whoever creates a group is its admin. Admins choose its settings: who can join, who can add questions, who can evaluate and who can see the marksheet.
- Admins can add questions, schedule them and remove members. They are responsible for what the group is used for.
- A group's name, @handle and description can be seen by anyone, even when the group is private. Its questions, answers and marksheet are for members only, as its settings allow.
- Content posted in a group must follow these terms. Admins may report it, and we may act on it as on any other content.
7. Community rules
These rules follow the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. Do not post, upload or share anything that:
- belongs to someone else and you have no right to share;
- harasses, abuses, threatens, bullies or demeans anyone, including on grounds of caste, religion, gender, region or language;
- is obscene, pornographic, invades someone's privacy (including their body), or is harmful to children;
- infringes a patent, trademark, copyright or other right;
- is false or misleading on purpose, or pretends to come from another person, a commission or the government;
- threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with other countries or public order, or incites an offence;
- contains viruses or code meant to damage or take over any computer or system;
- is illegal in any other way, including leaked or unreleased exam papers.
And do not:
- copy answers or submit work that is not yours;
- sell, advertise, promote coaching or channels, or spam;
- create fake accounts, or use accounts to boost marks, ratings, followers or upvotes;
- try to break, overload or scrape the site, get around its limits, or reach data you are not allowed to see.
8. Reports, removal and copyright complaints
Use the Report button on anything that breaks these terms, or write to the Grievance Officer (below). We review reports and may remove or hide content, warn the person who posted it, and limit, suspend or ban accounts. For serious or repeated breaches we can do this without notice. Where the law requires, we keep records and share them with the authorities.
If you believe something on the site infringes your rights, send us: the link to it; what work or right you own and proof of it; your name and how to reach you; and a statement that the complaint is true. Content that shows you without clothing, in a sexual act, or impersonates you will be removed within 24 hours of your complaint.
If we removed your content and you think we got it wrong, write to us with the link and your reasons, and we will look at it again.
9. Previous-year questions and official documents
Previous-year questions, syllabi and notices belong to the commissions that published them (UPSC and the state public service commissions). We show them for practice and study. Each previous-year question is labelled with where its text came from, and only text copied word for word from the commission's own paper is marked as “Official PYQ”.
UPSC2IAS is not connected with, or endorsed by, any commission or government body. Dates, rules and syllabi change. Always check them in the official notification on the commission's website before you act on them.
10. Our content and brand
UPSC2IAS (upsc2ias.com) is run by MVP Tech Solutions (“we”, “us”). The site itself (its design, code, logo, the UPSC2IAS name, our own practice questions, the syllabus mapping, tags and the copies of papers we keep) belongs to us or is used with permission. You may use it for your own preparation. Do not copy, resell or republish it in bulk, remove the watermark from papers we host, or present it as your own.
Feedback and ideas you send us are welcome. We may use them to improve the site without owing you anything for them.
11. Fair use and limits
- Uploads have size and page limits, and actions such as uploads, messages and searches have daily or per-minute limits. These keep the site fast and fair for everyone.
- Do not use bots, scrapers or scripts to read or post content, except search engines that follow our robots.txt.
- We may change these limits at any time to protect the service.
12. Price and paid features
UPSC2IAS is free today. If we add paid features later, the price, what it includes and the refund terms will be shown before you pay, and you will not be charged for anything without agreeing to it first.
13. Disclaimers
We provide UPSC2IAS “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it running and your files safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free or secure, so keep your own copy of your answers.
Content posted by users, including evaluations, questions and comments, is their own. We do not check it in advance and are not responsible for it. Nothing on the site is a guarantee of selection or of any exam result.
14. Limit of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses from using or not being able to use the site, such as lost data, lost time or an exam result. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
15. Your responsibility
If someone brings a claim against us because of content you posted or because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.
16. Ending your account
You can stop using the site at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or that has been used to harm others.
The parts of these terms that by their nature should continue after an account ends (the licence for evaluations already given, our content, disclaimers, liability and the law that applies) still apply.
17. Grievance Officer
Under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, complaints about content on the site, about these terms or about how we handle your data go to our Grievance Officer:
Grievance Officer, UPSC2IAS. Email: [email protected] (write “Grievance” in the subject).
We acknowledge a complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days of receiving it.
18. Changes, law and disputes
We may update these terms as the site grows. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell you on the site about important changes before they apply. If you keep using the site after that, you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please write to us first so we can try to settle any dispute. If we cannot, the dispute will be settled by the courts of India.
19. General
- These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
- If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- You may not transfer your account or these terms to anyone else. We may transfer them if the service changes owner, and we will tell you if it does.
20. Contact
Questions about these terms: email [email protected] or message us on Telegram at @upsc2ias_support. Signed-in users can also message us from the site.
